Project: 115 MW agrivoltaics PV plant execution design – Catania.
Client: LT (the EPC) has many years of experience and consolidated track record in EPC and O&M with more that 500 MW installed and 1,3 GW under O&M. Nadara (the final Client) is a significant player in the renewable energy sector. Formed from the merger of Ventient Energy and Renantis, Nadara is now the largest independent producer of onshore wind energy in Europe. The company owns more than 4,2 GW of installed capacity.
Activities: SunGAP assisted the Client in identifying the optimal technical solution for the construction of two photovoltaic plants totaling 115 MW — Sardella and Big Fish — located in the province of Catania.
- Sardella was a 46 MW PV plant situated on a single plot in the municipality of Belpasso (CT).
- Big Fish was one of the largest solar projects in Italy, with a total capacity of 227 MW distributed across 16 fields in the provinces of Catania and Siracusa. SunGAP was responsible for the detailed engineering of 70 MW within this portfolio.
SunGAP specifically focused on detailed engineering, with the goal of:
- meeting all regulatory and client-specific requirements,
- maximizing revenue,
- ensuring the highest quality standards, and
- establishing new best practices in the utility-scale solar industry.
