Project: 67 MW revamping and repowering Owner’s engineer and executive design.
Client: ContourGlobal, a KKR company, is a leading Independent Power Producer with nearly 20 years of growth and diversification. By the end of 2023, it managed 6,2 GW of installed capacity across 18 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. The company specializes in acquiring and developing power generation assets with long-term contracts and offers innovative offtake solutions like advanced PPAs and hedging instruments to maximize value.
Activities: SunGAP assisted ContourGlobal throughout all phases of the revamping and repowering project of a portfolio of 36 PV plants, with a total capacity of approximately 50 MW. The project enhanced the portfolio by adding an additional 17 MW of capacity. SunGAP was responsible for managing the connection requests, overseeing the authorization phase, and developing the executive design — including specifications for the procurement of key components such as panels, inverters, and trackers. Based on SunGAP’s project and with its technical support, the Client directly purchased the main components, achieving significant cost savings compared to a traditional full EPC contract.
