Project: 79 MW revamping feasibility study.
Client: Octopus Energy is one of Europe’s leading investors in renewable energy. It manages over 270 large-scale green energy assets across 20 countries, with a combined capacity of 3.9 GW. These assets generate enough electricity to power approximately 2.6 million homes annually. The company focuses on technologies like solar, wind, and green hydrogen.
Activities: Sungap is conducting a feasibility study for the revamping of a portfolio of 15 solar plants located in the UK, with a total capacity of approximately 79 MW. Based on historical production data and maintenance issues, the study aims to identify underperforming assets and their root causes. It will define the most suitable revamping strategy—whether limited to replacing modules and inverters or extending to fixed structures with new single-axis trackers—by developing alternative layouts and assessing new producibility through an Energy Yield Assessment (EYA).
